Amazing Women of Jefferson County Honored

SOLD OUT EVENT Honors Jeffco Women!
On Friday, November 14th, the West Chamber hosted its seventh annual event to recognize the outstanding women of Jefferson County. The event was held at the Denver Marriott West with a keynote address by Colorado State Senator Betty Boyd and emceed by Channel 9-News anchor Neil Browne.

Ten exceptional women were honored for their contributions to family, community, and workplace in 2008:

Karen Harkin, Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, Denver
Kathleen Stapleton, Seniors' Resource Center Chair, Lakewood
Tracy Houston, Board Advisory Services, Lakewood
Kathy Mayer, Flight for Life, Denver
Eva Graziano, Red Rocks Comm. College Law Enforcement Academy Denise Patrick, Re/Max Alliance Pine

Honorees also received a special recognition, gift from Best Buy and a check to donate to their favorite charities. Over the last six years 65 women have been honored, and over 60 charities have benefited from this event. The Great Frame Up also presented a special framed picture to Senator Boyd.
