Leaves of Hope Run/Walk

Exempla Lutheran Medical Center Benefit
Make a difference for cancer patients in Jefferson County by lacing up your running shoes for the inaugural Leaves of Hope Run/Walk on Sunday, June 1st. Lutheran Medical Center Foundation presents this 5K run/walk and family-focused 1-mile walk to raise funds for Exempla Lutheran Medical Center’s cancer programs. The course will wind runners and walkers through the scenic Lutheran campus and tree-lined residential streets of Wheat Ridge.

The Leaves of Hope Run/Walk will be the kick-off event for the annual National Cancer Survivors Day celebrations. National Cancer Survivors Day is a long-standing tradition that brings together cancer survivors to celebrate the gift of life with their families, friends, and the staff who cared for them.

The race starts at 10:00 a.m. at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colo. Registration fees are $25 pre-race registration or $35 race day registration and $10 for 14 years of age and under. Register online at www.GetMeRegistered.com

Awards will be given for the top three female and top three male overall finishers and the top two female and top two male masters (40 years of age or more) finishers.

National Cancer Survivors Day celebrations start at noon and go until 4 p.m. with live music, art and games for the entire family.
