About the West Chamber of Commerce

The West Chamber is considered a regional chamber that includes the unincorporated South Jefferson County area. The Chamber started in 1947 as the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. In 1990 the group merged with the Wheat Ridge Chamber of Commerce to be the West Chamber Serving Jefferson County.

Chamber Membership
The Chamber currently has 925 members and is growing. Between 100 and 150 new members join per year, with around 75% retention rate. Membership investment is based on number of full time employees. Click HERE to join or for more membership information.

Chamber Programs
The West Chamber boasts many successful networking and educational events (over 50 per year) and seven successful leads groups.

The Chamber offers numerous promotional opportunities for businesses to increase sales and to promote their industry including the Membership Directory in print and on-line, the annual Best of Business directory and Wellness Living publication, the Monday Report e-newsletter, website banner advertising, the Jefferson County Recreation/Tourism map and the monthly Direct Mail program.

Along with the Jefferson Economic Council, the West Chamber presents the Jefferson County Business Lobby, representing the interests of business and industry in Jefferson County.

The West Chamber offers three niche programs; Hospitality & Tourism Professionals to support those in the “Hospitality and Tourism” industries, the Business of Wellness for those in the “Health & Wellness” industries, and the Young Professionals Network to support the up-and-coming members of our community.

The workers compensation program is very strong with 75 members in the program and a 95% retention rate. The first year the Chamber gave back $155,548 in dividends to 38 participants.
